Early Birthday gifts from the "Nan's"

My mom (Nana) & my grandma (Nannie) were kind enough to send some money to get Jarrett a couple of Birthday gifts. They gave me specific instructions to get something "too big, that wouldn't fit on a plane". So, this is what we decided to get! We got the Little Tikes Climb & Slide Castle & the Fisher Price Happy Songs Coupe. I think he will enjoy these very much for the next few years! Thank you so much Nana & Nannie! We love you!
I had to include this picture. I tried to take a picture of him with the toys last night & he would NOT cooperate. He did not want to sit still & I kept trying to get him not to crawl away. Needless to say, he wasn't a happy boy.
We decided to go ahead & put the Castle together so kids could play on it at his party. Plus, I didn't have wrapping paper big enough to wrap it! I've worked really hard cleaning up this atrium. It took a LONG time & lots of sweat to take all the rock out. I was coughing up dirt & blowing it out my nose for quite some time. I bought some astroturf at Home Depot to put on the bottom. I think it looks "okay". I want this to be an area that Jarrett can play in. I'm still not completely happy with it, but it will do for now.
I still have so much to do before his Birthday party on Saturday. I have a lot of cleaning & cooking to do! I sure hope I get it all done. Working full-time & then coming home to a toddler doesn't leave a lot of spare time. Someone want to hire me a maid? :D

  1. What fun bday gifts!!! He is going to love them! We have that same slide too and to make it last even longer once they are tired of it just being a regular slide when he is older, you can put the slide into a little pool and it becomes a waterslide! We got a lot more use out of it this summer - long after I thought we were done with it :)

  5. Fun gifts! My brother got one of those little cars when we were young. At the time we were living in my mom's boss's mansion (he lived in FL), which was 50,000 sq ft of open room for us to drive that thing around and we had a LOT of fun.
