V-day, Fixing up the homestead & starting back to work!

I finally got some curtains for the dining room & the side of the atrium that faces the living room. JC Penneys had these panels marked down 80% from $40.00 a panel to $7.97! I think they look great. We hung the ones in the living room a little low & will have to fix it someday, but for now were leaving it.

I also cleaned out the garage so I can park my car in it. It gets so hot in the summer here in Vegas, I want to make sure I can get Jarrett in & out of the car without the sun blazing down on my baby.

Tomorrow I go back to work. Its the dreaded day! I would love nothing more than to stay home with Jarrett, but it is just not in the cards for Jason & I. He will be close by though. I work at an apartment complex & an elderly mexican lady that lives on the property is going to watch him for me. He will only be a few steps away & I'll get to go to her apartment over lunch. She watched all of my co-worker Maria's 3 kids & they will go to her apartment after they get out of school. I know they will be so excited to play & see Jarrett! Please pray for me as I return to work & Jarrett has a good transition into our new routine.

Jarrett is loving his bathtime more & more. He loves to stare at his good lookin' self in the mirror while he bathes. He is such a cutie pie! He is starting to smile more each day & he is such a bright little boy. We love you sweet baby more than you'll ever know...

(And, thanks to my sweet hubby for the post below. You are my best friend & my everything. I love you so much!)

I thought I would throw these pictures in here from Valentines Day. Our good friends Amy & Duane watched Jarrett so Jason & I could go out on Valentines Day. We went to the Cheesecake Factory & had a piece of their Red Velvet cheesecake. OMG, it was to die for!

Then, we just went running around. While in Target they had some of their St. Patricks Day stuff out. I saw the hat & beard & told Jason he HAD to try it on. He looked so good in it, I might actually have to back & buy it, HA!

And, we went to Kirklands & found a frame for our family portrait. It has a monogrammed "B" underneath the photo. I love it!

  12. Thanks for stopping by! Congrats on your new addition; he is perfect! Sorry, you had to go back to work today! I remember the day I went back after the twins came home from the hospital. The smallest of them had only been home about 2 weeks and I had to go back to teaching. It was one of the hardest days of my life, but we didn’t have a choice. We had doctor bills for them and me to pay for and we had just bought our house. My mom kept them at our home, but you would have thought I left them with a criminal. They were fine and we all eventually adjusted. Just 2 years later God made a way for me to stay with my children all the time! So for the last year I have been able to stay at home full-time and the year before I only worked part-time. Don’t get me wrong I do miss the money, but I am also very thankful for this “priceless” time.

It’s so neat that your sister is expecting a little boy too. Do you live close to her? I hope my twins are always close to each other, they are very dependent on each other. At times I think they have a stronger bond with each other than they do to me. :)
