My BIG boy...

Well, I had a doctor's appointment this morning & everything looked good with Jarrett, except that he already weighs around 6.5 lbs! The doctor said he will probably weigh 9+ lbs. by the time he is born in January & his head is measuring 4 weeks ahead of schedule. He told me that there was nothing wrong with him & that everything looked good, he is just going to be a big baby. He said if things keep progressing the way they are, my chances of delivering vaginally are pretty slim. This scares me a little bit. I always thought I would deliver vaginally & not have to have a C-section, but I'll do whatever is best for Jarrett. I wish he would've told me that we could have him earlier than January 5th, but he didn't. Who knows, maybe I'll go into labor sooner than that. I just hope I can make it through another month! My feet & ankles have been swelling so bad & my back has been hurting. I still feel like I have so much to do before he arrives.

Here is a short video clip of his mouth moving/sucking:

And, here are a few pictures from my appointment today :) He is looking good!

  1. He's adorable!!! And I'm gonna guess since he is that big...that he makes an appearance sooner than you think...Your Milton and Billie Bean do look like my darling girls! Look like you got lots of great goodies at the shower! Congrats!

  2. Bonnie, the good news is they can be up to 40% off on the weight, but of course that goes both ways. They told me that Olivia was over ten pounds by her measurements and she ended up being only 9lbs. 2oz. I understand about being scared if you have to have a c-section. They told me that I wouldn't be able to give birth naturally and I had the same belief that whatever is best for the baby is what we'll do. If you do have to, the c-section isn't bad at all. Honestly, after hearing some of my friends stories of labor, I think a c-section is much easier way to go. Either way your going to do great! Oh and you'll never feel like you've gotten everything done before they get here. Good Luck!!!

  5. Bonnie, I'm so happy and excited for you! I also wanted to let you know that I had also hoped to deliver vaginally but ended up having a c-section. It wasn't my preference but it all turned out okay. You'll do great and you look adorable! I love the Bellagio pictures!
    :)
