Nailz

I had a lady at the complex I work at fill my nails. She owns a salon & its convenient just to walk a few steps after work & get my nails done. She did a pretty good job, but I had no idea how much it would hurt getting my nails filled. I'm not sure how much longer I will keep these baby's on. The dremel-like nail thingie burns like fire - ugh! "Beauty is pain...Beauty is pain...Beauty is pain..." *tear*

Sorry, I haven't updated much in the past few days b/c I've been sick again. I went home Friday night & was SO tired. I crashed early Friday night & woke up at 6:00 AM Saturday. I took my temp & it was 101.7. I just went through this less than 2 weeks ago! Anyways, I slept probably 40 of the next 48 hours & then I started having serious problems with diarrhea (sorry if you consider that TMI). I finally got an appointment at the doctor's office on Monday. ***On a side note, our air conditioning went out on the SUV & we have an appointment to get it fixed this Friday. But, it was between 90-95 degrees Monday!!! So, just imagine a blonde, cranky, sweaty chick driving down the freeway about to bust a load out of her pants on the way to the doctor's office. Nice mental image, huh? I think I experienced HELL. There are times like these, that I really miss my mom. I know my mom would've been there for me to drive me to my appointment. My husband couldn't get out of work to take me & my mother-in-law said she couldn't take me. So, I had to take myself. Luckily, I didn't have a fever or I'm not sure I would've made it. Anyways, I'm feeling better now. The sickness better not come back.

  5. Just so you know...fills shouldn't hurt. If they do they aren't doing them quite right...they are trying to go too fast. Ask them to slow down or better yet go to a salon that only uses files not electric files.

  6. ditto: fills shouldn't hurt. If it hurts & burns, they are going too deep. When/if you soak the nails off, you'll see ridges/pits where they drilled/filed too deep. It will be noticeable once your nails grow out.
