Look how skinny I used to be

Isn't it amazing how much we can change over the years? I used to be really into working out, but now that I'm married & "comfortable" it is so hard for me. It is also hard being married to someone that isn't physically active (though he needs to be). I'm not blaming my husband for me gaining 30-40 lbs., but it sure is a lot harder for me to lose weight & think about what I should be eating when I have to think about what he wants for dinner too. Does anyone else have this problem? We don't like a lot of the same things, so we usually end up going out to eat. I haven't met many people here in Vegas & I really wish I could meet a good friend to workout with. I joined Golds Gym, but I haven't been in months. I was doing weight watchers, but I always stray away. I would love to look like this again, but why does it have to be so hard for me? I just need a little motivation & I'm having a hard time finding it. I would love to wear sleeveless shirts & not have to think about my arms jiggling or wear a thong again without it creasing into my hip fat & cutting off my circulation. And, I don't know how I got "back fat"...ugh!
Anyways, I was just looking through these old pics on my laptop. A lot of them were with my BFF Kristin & she looks just the same or even better now (& she's had 3 kids!) Life is so unfair, ha.

  2. I can so relate. I have put on some pounds too since I got married and had 3 pregnancies. It is hard to let go of the "old" image. I too need to get going on a workout plan. It would be great for stress too.

  3. Hi Bonnie! Thanks for stopping by my blog, it's always nice to find other Vegas bloggers!

I can totally relate to this post... I am always struggling with my weight (the back fat, ugh, yeah, I know it).

  7. I completely understand what you're going through! I've never been skinny but I have gained about 25 lbs since Ronnie and I started dating and he has too, which is why we're BOTH working out now! We just realized how unhappy we were with ourselves and wanted to change it.

I have confidence in you, you can be that girl again! :]

  8. I SO have that problem!! My husband can eat ANYTHING and not gain a pound. He is also not at all into "bird food" i.e. salads and such. SO when I make dinner for him, of course I eat it too. I know weight watchers works for me, it's just a matter of sticking to it!!! I am sooo not good about it!

  9. I think we all have "those" pictures! ha! I understand not having someone to workout with - my husband goes from time to time but always WAY later than I want to or need to (since I get up at 4am to get ready for work).

So, I'm starting today... I have 3 weeks to lose some weight!! I have to wear a swimsuit in 3 weeks!!! Agh!

  10. It is tough. And I have been on Weight Watchers and off more times than I care to count. But I highly recommend giving it a shot again. They have changed the plan a bit and I for one find it better and easier to follow. Now to be fair I just started 2 weeks ago but I have already had some great success. Good luck!!!

  12. Hi! Thanks so much for the sweet comment on my blog! When I pray for all women who are struggling with infertility, I will now specifically think of you, too! :) I wanted to just say that you can always blame infertility drugs for some of the weight gain, too! LOL! That's what I did when I was on Clomid. What these new 10 L-B's I'm toting around? Well, I'm trying to have a baby, leave me alone! Hee hee.
