Fashion Show Mall

Last Saturday I decided to get out & go to the mall. I needed to find my mom a Birthday gift (it's her 50th on March 28th & I'm flying home on the 24th - WHOOPIE!) & my best friend Kristin a gift. I went down to the strip to Fashion Show Mall. Living in Las Vegas is nice, but we rarely go down to the strip even though we live probably 5 miles away. It is so busy & crowded all the time. But, they had a store there that sold what I wanted to find for my mom. If you come to Vegas you'll have to check out this mall. It is really cool & they usually have a fashion show going on in the middle of the mall. On Saturday they had a fashion show of High School art/design students that all made gowns for "Go Red" & The American Heart Association. It was so cool to see those teenagers come out on the runway & wear their designs. I was so into Fashion & art when I was in High School. I wanted to go to Art School & become a fashion designer SO bad. I guess life doesn't always turn out the way you think it will at that age. I think if I had a program like that when I was in High School, I might of had more opportunities to go into that field. And, I don't think there is a school in Arkansas that has a Fashion Design major. Oh well! Watching that fashion show just made me think back to when I was in High School & how much I used to have that passion. I hope they all do well & the dresses will be auctioned off & sold to benefit the American Heart Association. I wish I had pictures of the dresses, but I don't. I'll see if I can find some & post them later.

  1. I must have missed this when I was there! It sounds really cool and like a great opportunity for students and teens.
