Catching up

It seems like all I'm doing these days is "catching up".  I have been so busy lately with my new job & things going on at home.  Last Thursday & this Thursday I went to playdates with my mommy's group.  It is hard trying to fit everything you want to do into ONE day & taking care of a 14 month old, cleaning & working full-time.

I'm trying not to get to stressed out about certain things in life that are out of my control.  Jason & I have been going through a little bit of a rough time lately, but we had a good talk tonight.  I know we both love each other deeply & every married couple probably has their own set of problems.  Lately it seems like most of ours are about finances.  Why does life have to be so hard sometimes?  We want another baby someday, but first we need to get our finances under control.  We will be working on that & Jason has promised me that he will care about my feelings more & be more on top of things.  I'm not just blaming him, we both need to be on top of things. Marriage is hard.  Right now were having a rough patch, but we'll get through it because of LOVE.  For each other & our child.
(just needed to vent a little)

Anyways, Jarrett & I had a great time at the playdate today.  We got to see our friends Kelly & Deegan & Angie & Graycen.  I thought this picture was so cute of all our boys standing together!
A few more pics of the babies playing at the playdate:
Speaking of mommy friends, I finally got a shelf 1/2 off at Hobby Lobby to put the blocks that Angie made for Jarrett's 1st Birthday.  I think it looks so cute!  I put some of Jarrett's newborn pictures with the black background in them in the frames.
And, I got a new sewing machine thanks to winning my $100 VISA Giftcard from Blogher which made it possible :)  It is the Brother Project Runway addition.  I've already started using it!  I got some new "boyish" fabrics & I'm starting to make Easter ties with the suspenders.  I'll show you some of the finished products when I'm done.
In other news, my first full week at my new job went really well!  I think I'm really going to like working there.
I saw these shoes at TJ Maxx & I LOOOOOVE them, but I need a size 9.  They are Born shoes, so I know they would be comfortable to wear to work & I love the big flower on them.  This was the only pair they had in the entire store :(

Since it is way past my bedtime, I'll leave you with a couple of pictures of my sleeping angel...
Goodnight!

  5. I hear ya Bonnie!! Marriage is hard sometimes alone, and adding kids to the mix is both SUCH A BLESSING as it makes you grow a new bond as you parent your children you made together, but it also adds a lot of new stresses as you try and figure out parenting together. I have been surprised about the toll it can take on my marriage!!
But, like you said, God will get us through =)
So glad you are liking your new job!
