Random Stuff

We haven't been up to a whole lot lately.  About 2 weeks ago I went into Golds Gym to cancel my membership b/c I haven't been going like I should.  OF COURSE the dude talked me out of it & gave me 2 months membership for free, 2 months of free childcare & 5 free personal training sessions.  He said if I wasn't going to stick with it after that, then I could cancel.  I thought the training sessions would help b/c I really didn't know my way around that gym & it is a little intimidating going to a gym when you know where nothing is at.  I really wish I had a workout buddy to go with me, but none of my friends live close to me.  Jason might start going with me & I think that would really help encourage me to stick with it.  I went Monday night & last night (Wednesday).  I CAN BARELY MOVE TODAY.  I am seriously so out of shape.  My arms & shoulders hurt SO bad!  Has to get worse before it gets better, huh?  I know the #1 thing I need to change is my diet.  That is the HARDEST thing for me.  I love food ~ especially chocolate!  Easter candy is NOT helping.

Here are some recent pictures of the little man.  He is playing with a little portable light.  He loves everything electronic & stuff he is not supposed to touch!  I think maybe he'll be a tech geek like his daddy ;)
This is the BEST toy ever.  (The Playskool Explore 'N Grow Busy Ball Popper)  Jarrett is obsessed with it right now.  I saw a video of my sister's little boy playing with one & I got Jarrett one with his V-day money from Nana & Nannie.  He knows exactly where to push to make the balls pop up again...and again...and again...
Jarrett got to come see his mama at work yesterday!  So nice when he can do that :)  I've been really lucky that Jarrett could come up here some of the time.  Especially when he was first born.
I made THIS chicken salad recipe by the Pioneer Woman.  It was so yummy on toasted wheat bread.  I bought a roasted chicken already pre-cooked at the grocery store.  The ones you can grab & go at the front of the store?  It turned out so good & saved me time cooking my chicken!  I also used low-fat mayo & low-fat sour cream.  Delish!
Now, if I could just stop eating these & baking cookies I think I would be in good shape...

  3. I feel your pain - I am completely out of shape and I pay the price anytime I try to do something different....like last Saturday we went to the zoo and walked around forever....I'm just now starting to feel back to normal 5 days later.....so sad lol!

And that ball popper - my friend bought us one when Brooklynn was little and since then it has been my 'go-to gift' for all my friends with babies - it is AWESOME!!!!

  4. Hi Bonnie!
I joined Golds Gym a few weeks ago too. I've only gone three times though (I was SO SORE for days after I went the first two times! Each step I took was so painful!!) I just can't seem to find the time to go right now though. Things for me should slow down the middle of March, so I plan to go more then. I want a buddy to work out with so bad too, I wish we went to the same gym! We would have so much fun together :)
Great pics. of Jarrett...he's so darn cute!
I hope you have a great weekend!
