We've had a long day today. Last night Jarrett woke up around midnight with a really hoarse, bad cough. He sounded just like he did before he went into the hospital in June. It scared me to death. Jason's mom was so nice & came over. After hearing him a little longer, we decided to take him to the children's hospital nearby. They said he had croup cough & gave him a dose of steroids & a breathing treatment. Jason & I got to take him home around 4:30 AM. It was a long night! When he woke up this morning he seemed to be feeling better. But, he has had a horrible time teething lately. He was fussy ALL DAY LONG. I sure hope he feels better soon & gets some teefers. This is wearing us all out. I never understood why a mom cancelled something the next day b/c of a rough night with a teething baby. But, now I do! It is tough to have a baby screaming non-stop & trying to calm them down constantly.
Anyways, we are just happy he didn't have to get admitted & it wasn't in his lungs/chest again. The nurse said it was in his throat. I'm starting to think I'm just going to have one of those kids that has bad allergies & will be sick a couple times a year!
I gave Jarrett a pinwheel I had bought a while back in the Target $1 bin to try & distract him from his teeth. I don't think he knew what to do with it - except try to tear it apart! HA HA Yeah, that thing is going to last less than a week in our house ;)
