Halloween 2010

What a night, what a night. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown tonight. Jarrett's first Halloween didn't go at all as I had planned. I guess it wasn't horrible, until we hit the traffic trying to get out of Town Square. We went there for their "Scary Town" event & it was horribly crowded, the lines were incredibly long for one piece of cheap candy, the games were for older children...& did I mention how CROWDED it was! It took us over 2 hours to get out of the parking lot & get home. I about had a meltdown sitting there & not moving for hours & nobody would let us over. I rolled my window down & screamed at a cab driver & then I almost started crying. Luckily, I held it together. We will never be going back to this event & Town Square, you MUST improve your parking! HORRIBLE!

I did get some good pictures though. Next year we will be doing the traditional trick-or-treating door to door. No more events like this for me!

Me & Jarrett waiting in an incredibly long line:
We saw DJ Lance Rock! Jarrett looooves "Yo Gabba Gabba"
Me & (another) Bonnie. She was the best part of my night. She is from my mommy's group & she came with her mom. Her mom was so sweet & made me miss my own mom. She has a little boy named Seamus. He is such a cutie pie!
The boys chillin' & taking it all in:
The boys with the UNLV cheerleaders. They are both going to be heart breakers someday!
Jarrett & a cheerleader:
We also saw our friend Vicky & her daughter Isabella. She is adorable!
2 of the best parts of my night... seeing this dog:
& getting a Godiva Dark Chocolate Elixir!
Also, Thankyou Nana & Poppy for my Halloween card & $ to get a Trick-or-Treat! Love you!!!
HOPE EVERYONE HAD A HAPPY & SAFE HALLOWEEN!

  1. I have to admit, I haven't been to a single Town Square event that wasn't horrible. The parking, crowds, and inaccurate age description for my kids...The District is the exact same experience.

Next year you are always welcome to do the door to door with us! I love going with other families - glad you guys spent it together as a family though.

  2. Ours was disappointing too. We went to the mall for trick or treating and none of the stores were participating. Why even advertise then? Next year we'll do door to door as well.

  3. Sorry your town event was so horrible...bless your heart. Your little monkey sure is cute though!

Door to door is the way to go for us b/c my kids get so sleepy at night...they can't handle all the action...if we are close to home we can hit the hay :)
