Today I had signed up for 4 hours of volunteer work for a local consignment sale called "As They Grow". Today was the first day of setting up for the sale & we did a lot of cleaning & putting together display racks. I had heard about this sale before & I read their website. If you volunteer 4 hours, then you can go to the "pre-sale" & shop before the public. I will get to shop on Wednesday at 5 PM & the sale opens to the public on Thursday. There will be no lacking of items, because I was told that over 34 THOUSAND items were being consigned!!! That's a LOT of stuff! Let me tell you, it was hard for me to spend 4 hours away from my baby on a DAY OFF. But, I was glad that I went & met some really nice girls.
When we got there, we were all kind of talking about what we were looking for. I had said that I wanted a jogging stroller & maybe a convertible carseat if I could find good deals on both. Items are marked down to dirt cheap prices. So many baby items are only used a few times & then never again. This sale is a great way to make some of your money back. Although, I'm not ready to consign anything of Jarrett's because I would like one more baby someday.
Anyways, later in the day, one of the husband's of a lady that works there pulled me aside & said they had an extra jogging stroller that they weren't going to be able to sell & asked me if I wanted it for FREE!!! They think the alignment is a little off on it, but I'm going to have Jason look at it. I pushed it around & it seems to work perfectly fine to me. I'm just soooo excited about getting a jogging stroller for free! I wanted one to walk Jarrett around in the park. It was totally worth the 4 hours of volunteering just for that. But, I'll keep ya'll posted on what else I'll find on Wednesday. I'm excited about the nice girls I met & hopefully I'll see them again someday.
My FREE stroller!
This little dude is going to be SUPER excited to ride in his new stroller at Sunset Park :)
I hope everyone is having a great weekend! If you live in the Las Vegas area, I HIGHLY recommend you go by the consignment sale & get some great deals! Click HERE for their website.
