Weight Watchers "Check-In"

Well, I did pretty good last week. I've been in a class all week & I was so tired yesterday, the last thing I wanted to do was drive out to get weighed in - BUT, I DID IT! And, it was so great to meet up with Sarah again. She is so sweet. After one week, I've lost -2 lbs. (And, I'm fixing to start my period! That has to count for something, right!!?? right!!?? HA!) I think I did pretty good for a week. I don't think I'm ready to share my weight yet with the blog world. I read so many blogs of women that think they are fat at 125 lbs.! I've never weighed that much in my LIFE! Lets just put it this way....my ultimate goal weight for ME, would be between 150-160. I have a pretty long ways to go, but I'm going to try to give this all I got! I haven't gathered the energy up to start working out consistently yet, and I don't think I will until I'm out of this training class & make it through the test. My test is next Thursday & I'll be so thankful when it is over. But, I'm keeping pretty well on track with my food & I hope to start working out when I can get it together.

I wanted to post a couple of my WW journal entries. I always like to get new ideas from other people that are doing the same program about what to eat & how many points certain things have.

Okay, so this is my Friday Journal. My WW week starts on a Thursday-Wednesday. If you can see in the upper right hand corner it has my 35 flex points & as I use them during the week, it tallies them up. I think that is a neat feature.
It kinda cut off my full day, so I took another picture of the same day so you could see EVERYTHING I ate. I actually didn't eat enough points that day & had 4 left over (this is usually not the case. I usually go over)
This is a good log, because I ate exactly how many points I was supposed to for that day. I really need to start drinking more water. Maybe I'll get some Crystal Light or something to make it tastes better.
I will try to post recipes & other things I like as I go. A few of my favorite things are the Chocolate Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich = 2 points & the Dark Chocolate Sugar Free Jello = 1 point. I have a major sweet tooth, so these are really helping me get through those cravings. I also LOVE Watermelon & it hardly has any points.

In other news, I have a totally ugly, huge red bruise on my knee & I have no idea how it got there! Does anyone else bruise really easily & find them on their body & doesn't remember how they got them? I think I get my bruising easily from my mom ;)

I took Jarrett back to the doctor AGAIN yesterday. She still heard wheezing in his chest. After all the breathing treatments we've been giving him. It is getting so tiring to have to do those for 40 minutes every day. But, we would do anything for our son to feel better. She started him on "Singulair" Has anyone else had a young child put on this? I haven't heard much about the side effects & Jarrett is almost 7 months old - so young. We were also referred out to see a pulmonary specialists. We go see him on July 27th & hopefully he will give us some answers on why Jarrett is still coughing & wheezing. We also went down to the lab & they drew his blood. They are testing him for allergies. The doctor said he might be allergic to our dogs. I just don't even want to think about that right now. I'm really hoping everything will be fine & he won't be allergic to them. We've had Milton for almost 7 years & Billie Bean for 6. They were our babies before we had Jarrett. And, it is so funny now b/c Jarrett will see them & just start to laugh! He loves the dogs. But, he also likes to grab ahold of them & he wants to stick them in his mouth like they are a toy. That's a "no-no". So, we are very, very careful about how much contact the dogs have with Jarrett. Anyways, please continue to pray for Little J & his respiratory problems. Hopefully we'll get this all worked out soon!

  1. Yay girl! 2 pounds is awesome.

    Keep up the good work.

When I started WW I never dreamt I would lose 21 pounds. I did it 2 lbs at a time. It took me from November of last year until April.

Now I am keeping it off and trying to maintain and lose more. It is hard because my love is cooking and baking. I just try to do everything in moderation.

Do you like eggs? I eat a 2 point boiled egg. Or you can skip the yolk and just eat the white...it is 0 points. I find that high protien things kept me fuller longer. About 10 cashews get me through in the afternoon when I got hungry.

I eat a ton of salads because all the veggies are close to 0 pts. And beans...just plain beans with spices added. A cup of pinto beans is like 3 points and you can put them on salads, or mush them and put on a 1 pt tostada shell. That is how I get my mexican food fix.

Ok...sorry for the book. Best wishes to ya girl :)

  5. Congrats on the 2 pounds! That's a fantastic start!

Hope they figure out Jarett's mystery wheezing soon...and hopefully it's not the dogs! I don't know what we'd do if we had to part with our pups!

  7. Another friend of mine went through that while her baby was at the crawling stage on the floor... once she was more upright walking - she wasn't "allergic" to the dogs anymore. So it's just something to think about - they kept their dog locked up for a few months in an area that the baby didn't go, and it all worked out.
