How I met my husband

I don't think I've ever shared how I met my husband - Jason, aka. "the love of my life". I feel so lucky that God brought this wonderful man into my life. Yes, he has his flaws, but I have flaws too. Nobody is perfect, and we are far from it. But, we love each other & we always make it through our ups & downs because of that love. He is my best friend & I can't imagine my life without him.

On to our story... I used to get together with my girlfriends every Wednesday night to watch The Bachelor. This is when Bachelor Bob was on the show.
These are the girls I used to get together with. They are some crazy girls & we used to have so much fun!
I never dreamed I would meet my future husband at this time in my life. I was actually going through a really nasty divorce & was having problems actually getting a divorce b/c we couldn't find my ex. Jason was very soft spoken & started coming to our get togethers with his friend Marc who was a meteorologist on a local television station. They worked out together at the gym. I remember I made a pumpkin trifle one night & Jason wouldn't eat it because he hates pumpkin. But, that is the only thing I remember about him, up until we started dating. I was talking to my friend Melissa on the phone one night & she said Jason told her boyfriend that he thought I was "hot". So, I told her to have him call me sometime. Less than 10 minutes after I hung up the phone with Melissa, Jason called me. I was very surprised & honestly I couldn't remember what he looked like that well. I did remember he wasn't the typical guy I usually went for. He had 5 piercings & 3 tattoos = not my type. BUT, we hit it off on the phone that night. I think we talked for 4-5 hours that night. The next night we had our first date. He came over to my apartment & I made him watch "Center Stage". (a movie he says he'll never watch again in his lifetime, ha!) Anyways, after that first date, that was it. We were in love with each other & inseparable! Jason was there for me through my rough divorce every step of the way. He was my rock & I knew he was the one I wanted to spend my life with. He treated me like no other man had ever treated me before. We were SO CRAZY about each other! And, I know my parents were a little weary of me jumping into another relationship so quickly. But, now they love Jason. He is a wonderful husband to me & father to Jarrett. I feel so blessed to have him in my life.

This is one of the first pictures Jason & I took together. This was taken in 2003 I think. He was meeting my family for the first time. I was taking him up to my Nannie & Papa's farm for Thanksgiving. I was so nervous doing this because we had only been dating for about a month!
The first roses Jason sent me. But, he did send me flowers to my work after our first date. Which kinda freaked me out & embarrassed me a bit, but it was so sweet!
Here we are in the early stages of our dating going to see my little cousin Lindsey's Artwork at a museum in Arkansas.
This was our first house we lived in. It was in Little Rock across from UALR:
We got married at the Old Mill in North Little Rock, Arkansas on November 5, 2004. We had a smaller ceremony outdoors. I thought it turned out beautiful!
Here we are on our honeymoon in Dallas:

This was our family for a LONG time - Jason, Bonnie, Milton & Billie Bean :)
But, life has drastically changed for Jason & I in this past year. And, for the BETTER! We feel so blessed to have a beautiful, healthy son. And, we feel so lucky to have each other. Life has been a rough road for me, especially in my early 20's, but my life truly started when I met Jason, the love of my life.
