Can't feel anything...

I am almost 21-22 weeks along now (according to which check-up you go by). I still haven't felt the baby. I'm reading all these other blogs where the mothers are feeling their babies, but I can't feel mine. It is making me worried. I keep trying & trying to feel something - but NOTHING. I have another check up next Thursday & hopefully everything will turn out okay. I've read it takes some women longer to feel their babies, especially if it is their first. How long did it take ya'll before you started feeling your baby? Just wondering...

  1. I'm sure everything is 100% fine! Before you know it, he or she will be kicking and punching and rolling all around! = )

  2. Drink caffeine and sit down and listen to loud music. That's when I first felt Jasmine... she loved loud music and would always start moving around.

I've heard that it takes a little longer for first time mothers to feel their babies.. I wouldn't worry. I think you'll feel him pretty soon now. :)

  3. I was 23 weeks before I felt Thomas for the first time and I was over the moon. It will happen when you least expect it to happen.

Hang in there everything is 100% fine.

  5. Hey!! Im sure everything is perfectly fine. I would highly recommend renting a doppler to hear the heartbeat whenever you want to. It will take away so much anxiety. I rented one with both of mine and it was like 5.00/mo. CHEAP... My husband and I also got so much joy from listening to the heartbeat. I don't want you to worry....

  7. Try not to worry. It's different for each person AND each pregnancy. I bet you probably don't even realize that you're feeling baby movement.

At our 19 week ultrasound, I was amazed at how much little bean was moving and I only felt a portion of it. With a first time pregnancy it's harder to distinguish...you'd think with #4 I would know what I was feeling, but even I was amazed! Give it a few weeks and you'll really be feeling some strong kicks!

    Hang in there!

  13. Ok please try not to worry (easier said than done I know). With my first son I felt movement at around 17-18 weeks. They say with a second pregnancy that you feel the movement sooner - not so for me! I was very worried this pregnancy when I did not feel movement around the same time. In fact it was after 20 weeks before I felt definite movement. I am now 29 weeks and this baby still doesn't move as much as my first. Every baby and pregnancy is different. Hang in there - pregnancy is so wonderful, but so stressful sometimes!

  15. try drinking some caffeine. i had to do that several times late in my pregnancy when i was having the non-stress test. i'm sure everything is just fine with baby boy brown:-) don't stress to much.

oh! the monogrammed shirt i had on bryson came from wal-mart. $3.50 i have bought several of his onesies from there. great bargain!!!

  16. I didn't feel the baby move until I was about 23 weeks. So it's totally normal. Truth be told you probably have been feeling him but it's just so subtle that you thought it was something else like gas. Even now that I'm 38 weeks I don't feel the baby as much as most women do. And the only times I do are when I stop and lay down.
