Happy to be HOME!

Jarrett got discharged today. Summerlin Hospital was great to us. All of the nurses loved little J. It is scary to take him home in a way, because he is still wheezing a lot when he breathes & he has a HORRIBLE diaper rash from all the diarrhea he has had. He freaks out every time we change his diaper b/c it hurts his tooshie so bad. Babies don't know how to cough mucus & boogers up, so they swallow them. I feel horrible for him. They sent us home with the cutest little nebulizer in the form of a dog. We have to give him breathing treatments at home. He receives two different medications through the nebulizer & two medications orally.

I still feel really sick & I have a horrible cough. I think I am just tired & I'm really praying that the medication the doctor gave me will help. He said the next thing he was going to do with me is admit me to the hospital too & I just can't afford to do that. I've already missed so much work & I feel guilty. But, family comes first. This past week has been so rough on us & we've had nobody to relieve us at the hospital. This has probably been one of the roughest weeks of my life & I hope to never repeat it.

When Jarrett got home I put him in his crib. He was SO happy to be in his bed! I've washed all of his toys & bedding. Cleaned as much as I could before Jason got home.

The nurses gave Jarrett a cute little hat that a lady knits & donates to the hospital for babies. They thought it would help him not pull out his IV, but he didn't wear it much. He still looks absolutely adorable in it!

So happy to be home!

Jarrett wearing his "No-No Boards". These make it so he cannot bend his arms & pull out the IV. He never really wore these, but I had to take a picture of him in these for memory.

This is the nebulizer they gave us for Jarrett. It is so cute! (even though I wish we didn't have to use it at all)

Please continue to pray we all feel better soon. I don't how much more we can take!

  3. Praying, Bonnie! You need to order some of this http://www.drowens.com/. It's the best diaper rash ointment out there.

  8. I am so sorry that you are having a rough time. I will continue to pray for you guys! I'm so glad you are home.

Hayden had RSV when he was about 5 months old. It was horrible and he fought the breathing treatments. I wish we had a fun nebulizer like that :)

Try to take it easy and get well soon.
